Summary
The purpose of this report is to seek scientific way to prevent water pollution and to recover polluted water. The reason for this is to notice what humans can do for environmental pollution because water pollution is rising as severe issue. This essay will explain the information to readers about water pollution and also solution to prevent it. This essay will suggest the idea to readers so as to think about the solutions which can be helpful to water pollution.
I researched about terms related with organic chemical. For example, the internet mentioned the sort of information about carbon compounds, organic solvents to me. These kinds of words, which I used in this thesis, I searched these words from internet. The first step to write this essay in this topic, is to find some words to make this essay professional and to facilitate the understandings. The second step that I did to write essay is to search the information about matters dissolving oil. By this research, I have known that orange’s skin has ability to dissolve the grease. Actually, orange skin’s limonene and citric acid has an ability to remove the grease. For example, we sometime use citric acid to remove the stain on the corner. Using this ability of citric acid, and also limonene, we can remove the grease from sewage. This fact is proved by (https://prezi.com/fsybwdndf9t2/copy-of/)’s experiment contents.
Thus, in this thesis, it is dealing with how people should use chemical to purify the industrial & household wastewater. And it is demonstrating about chemical process.
I found that, limonene is less-toxic to people but it cannot but dangerous to tiny creatures. And also citric acid could make the water acid. In conclusion, people should build the huge number of sewage purification unit and operate the unit by using citric acid and limonene or other safer material. But people may well consider the fact that acid may cause damage to environment, so they cannot be careful enough using these chemicals.
Introduction
I would like to start with the chemical way which can be enacted by people, so as to restore the water polluted by grease (cooking oil, petroleum, paraffin and extra). Since I am enthusiastic about chemistry, this thesis will mainly argue about chemical terms. Look glossary when you want to know about the chemical words. Thank you.
In 21th century, water pollution is rising up as a serious problem because water has been polluted by people. People have polluted the water since industrial revolutionary. They should have been careful not to pollute the water. Also, water pollution is a severe social issue which should be solved by people the here and the hereafter. It is essential that people should protect the environment. And people cannot help but do the project about water pollution and environment.
The purpose of my thesis is to fuse experiences and chemical theory and try to make the way to apply the solution to prevent water pollution in our life.
My own view is that there are a lot of cases which use the fundamentals of chemical reaction. For example, when we remove fishy smell of the fish, which is caused by ‘trimethilamin’. We often spray lemon juice. It seems to me that we must be experiencing a lot of scientific phenomena around our life.
This essay will mainly argue about organic compound called limonene and citric acid. Substance called limonene has capacity to cut carbochain and to dissolve oil. Citric acid has an ability to remove stain and dissolve oil. These two chemical compounds are mainly included in orange skin.
But this essay won’t mention about removing other pollutant except oil. For example, trash.
I want readers to realize the substance which can be used for purifying the water. Also, I want readers to think about way to prevent pollution at their home.
