The glimpse of Euthanasia in reality

Interview

Presentation of Summary and Intriduction

Summary

The purpose of this report is to know actually what euthanasia is and what country use euthanasia and how much nations in those countries support euthanasia. Also, euthanasia has been big issue and people have had argument so this report is going to tell some examples of agreement and disagreement of euthanasia.

To find types of euthanasia, I conducted my research by researching in Wikipedia and some news which is about euthanasia and I compared positive euthanasia such as Voluntary euthanasia and negative euthanasia such as involuntary euthanasia. Also, I used graphics to show how many countries use euthanasia and then I got help from timeline which is showing history of euthanasia to see what countries had used or is using or have never used euthanasia. After that, I researched pros and cons of euthanasia and compared them by reading some news or using websites that have people¡¯s opinions of euthanasia.

I found that there are lots of types of euthanasia and mostly, voluntary euthanasia is used in many countries and for the countries which use euthanasia, There are the United State of America, Japan and Belgium. But the problem is that arguing about euthanasia haven¡¯t finished. People are still disagreeing or agreeing with the euthanasia. People who agree with euthanasia usually say that people have right to die and people who disagree with it usually say that people have right to live or they say that trust between doctor and patient will decrease. But both of opinions are usually about caring patient¡¯s opinions, so we can¡¯t know exactly because we haven¡¯t been the patients who have to make a decision.

I recommend to look at history of euthanasia specifically and to know why some countries use euthanasia and some other great or new opinions in your period. Also, I recommend reading some books that are talking about death and I recommend making up your mind what is death in your opinion.

Introduction

One day, I had to choose a topic to write an essay. I really wanted to write about big issue. However after I decided to write about big issue I couldn¡¯t make my mind what kind of issue I¡¯m going to write. So I talked with my mom and she told me about euthanasia. But I wasn¡¯t that interested in it because I already learned about animal euthanasia at school or in other place and I thought that I already euthanasia a lot and I just thought that euthanasia is bad thing. However my mom talked about human euthanasia and she said that there are lots of people who agree with euthanasia I was really puzzled that people get euthanasia and some people agree with euthanasia. So I decided to study about it and when I firstly knew what definition of euthanasia is and its origin, I was surprised. ¡°eu¡± means good or well and ¡°thanasia¡± is from thanatos which means death. Its definition was ¡°Euthanasia is the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering.¡±

In this report, I am going to talk about basic things of euthanasia like types of euthanasia and countries which use euthanasia. In pros and cons part, I will talk about each opinions and reason and my opinions of their opinions. Also, I will talk about which opinions will win if these kinds of opinions keep represented. However I predicted that opinions from people who agree may have more persuasive power because I thought that deciding to die is one of their rights. Also, I predicted that people who disagree with euthanasia will only say that it is murder or it is bad. But it wasn¡¯t truth. They showed opinions that are caring patients and have logic.

But to compare opinions fairly, I¡¯m not going to talk about opinions that are related to religion. Among people who disagree with euthanasia, there are people who disagree because of God¡¯s sayings. However logically, that can¡¯t make some people understand, so I won¡¯t put them. Also, I will not talk about euthanasia economically because euthanasia is deciding one¡¯s life. And it is deciding what one¡¯s right is. So, if something economic thing become related thing, it would be hard to care about right. It would be just writing that makes a decision by following economic problem. I will put graphic to show what people¡¯s opinions are and as time flows how people¡¯s thinking have changed.
